2014 – April Meeting

 

Meeting Reports:

Membership at 53 members.

 

Raffle contains perpetual turning, Craft Supply gift certificates, wood blanks, and pen blanks.

 

Joan reports that library has had many of our VHS’s transferred to DVD. 

 

 

Meeting Announcements:

One of our founding members, Frank Long, recently passed away. 

 

We had one visitor. 

 

The Regional Symposium that was discussed last month- a club steering committee voted to join the effort. We will need two volunteers as representatives. There is a $1000 fee. The Symposium is slated for 2016. 

 

The steering committee also discussed a Woodturners Widows Assistance Program. You should do an inventory of all your shop equipment and place on file with the club. This will be used to help your surviving spouse sell your equipment at a fair price. An inventory is also a good idea for insurance purposes. 

 

There will be a spindle turning class at Woodcraft on Apr 30. This is a good review to be taught by Ed Youtz and the cost is $75.
