Meeting Announcements:

Visitors were introduced.

Rob encourages to  join AAW and enjoy the many advantages of membership.

 

Harry Pye made important announcement regarding Meals on Wheels. Our club has supported this worthy cause for many years by donating bowls for auction. These contributions are tax deductible, so bring your donated bowl to the Sept. meeting. Include your name, address, and worth of the turning. 

 

Website News: Dave Paine will be taking over duties of updating the website. He and Steve are looking for input from the members as to what they would like to see on the website in the future. 

 

Raffle items this month include wood blanks, the perpetual turning, buckeye burl, cedar blanks, magazines and a set of HSS lathe tools. 

 

Perpetual Turning:

Hollow form made by Rick Bryant, won by Sean Carson.

 

Demonstration:

Demonstration by Rob Kingham.  Making a space craft.  A vessel inside another vessel with holes for the windows.  A good project to use construction lumber offcuts.
